When Is Removal or Maintenance Needed?
As your natural hair grows (typically around 1 to 1.5 cm per month), the attachment point of your keratin bond moves further down the hair shaft. Between 3 to 4 months of wear, the extensions must be professionally removed to prevent matting, tangling, or uneven tension on your hair roots.
Never attempt to pull, snap, or use household acetone to remove keratin bonds at home. Doing so can shear your natural hair cuticle. Professional removal dissolves the bond polymer cleanly, leaving your natural hair intact and ready for deep conditioning or fresh re-fitting.
